Wild Beasts is an on going series of abstract exploration. Paying homage to the fauvist descent from Impressionism that paved way to abstract expressionism. Complex relationships of color, shape, tension and flow create an emergent sensation of primal force. Each layered stroke asking you to look deeper and longer at the subjective form that never quite rests in definition. The eye revisiting the work, only to discover a new experience, a new subtext now brought to the foreground. In this way, what is paint and surface takes on animate form becoming reflective of the ineffable primal forces inside us.
It is authentic power, the forces we reckon with in our own aliveness. It is an invitation to feel and connect to that inner landscape in ourselves and the world around us. Within this subjective state, create your own meaning, and know that nothing is fixed. Like water in motion we are a constant becoming.
